Aging

Aging is a slow process, a typical beer takes about an hour to age, which is roughly 3 in-game days. You age a brew by placing it into a barrel.

The type of barrel you use matters. Some brews have no preference and can be aged in any barrel, while others will age better in an oak barrel than a spruce barrel, and so on.

Creating a barrel

You create a barrel by placing down all required blocks, and then lastly a sign facing towards any of these blocks.
If you build the barrel correctly, you should see a confirmation message in the chat, the sign can be safely removed afterwards.

Unless your server has configured custom barrel types, there are two default ones:

Small barrel

Large barrel

If neither of these barrels work, you should check with your server staff to see if they have configured custom barrel types.
